To ensure a continuous and independent assessment of our sustainability performance, we have been conducting an annual rating through the renowned provider EcoVadis since 2021. EcoVadis evaluates the sustainability performance of over 150,000 companies worldwide in the areas of the environment, human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The analysis takes industry-specific characteristics into account, making the results particularly meaningful. Thanks to the annual assessments, we can identify weaknesses in our strategy and implement targeted improvement measures. Our goal is to systematically close these gaps in order to continuously improve our sustainability performance.
Since our initial assessment in 2021, there has been a clear and continuous positive trend in our sustainability performance. In the first assessment year, 2021, we scored 49 out of 100 points, placing us in the 53rd percentile. By the following year, we had already improved to 54 points and reached the 63rd percentile. In both years, we were awarded the Bronze Medal.
In 2023, we achieved Silver status for the first time. With a score of 61 out of 100, we ranked in the 78th percentile, once again significantly improving our position compared to the other companies evaluated. This progress confirmed the effectiveness of our continuous improvement measures and the consistent development of our sustainability strategy.
This trend continued in the following two years. In 2024, we scored 71 out of 100 points and achieved the 91st percentile. This allowed us to once again confirm our Silver status despite increased requirements in the EcoVadis medal system. With the most recent assessment for the 2025 reporting year, we further improved our performance to 77 out of 100 points and achieved the 93rd percentile. Once again, we were awarded the Silver Medal; at the same time, this means we now rank among the top 15% of all assessed companies worldwide.
Overall, we have increased our score from 49 to 77 points since our initial assessment in 2021. This represents an improvement of 28 points over five assessment years. At the same time, we have also made significant progress in relative terms: We improved from the 53rd percentile in 2021 to the 93rd percentile by 2025. This development underscores the success of our ongoing efforts and the effectiveness of the measures implemented in recent years.
In line with our philosophy of “small green steps,” however, we do not view this result as an endpoint. Rather, we see it as confirmation that we are on the right track and as an incentive to continue consistently improving our sustainability performance. Our goal remains to make further progress and to continue strengthening our position in the EcoVadis rating in the future.
