Focus on employees – Good work thanks to an appreciative atmosphere
At A.S. Création Tapeten AG, our approximately 350 employees are our focus. Their ideas, performance and commitment are the key to our success – today and in the future. We cultivate a corporate culture based on respect, appreciation and openness. The works council has always played an important role at A.S. Création
In many cases, collective agreements form the basis for fair wages and transparent working conditions. Even where they are not mandatory, we voluntarily adhere to them because we are convinced that good work requires good conditions. This also includes how we deal with complaints: employees can always contact their managers, the HR department or the compliance team in confidence, or use a digital platform to raise their concerns.
We create structures that promote long-term trust – through clear communication, opportunities for participation and a working atmosphere that values involvement and openness.
Long-term success through high-quality training and further education
Expertise and creativity – that's what we need to remain successful as a company. That's why we invest in training and further education. At A.S. Création Tapeten AG, we train people in twelve professions every year. These include technical and craft-based professions as well as commercial professions. From industrial clerks and media technologists to IT specialists.
Trainees are given responsibility early on and are allowed to work directly in day-to-day business and on projects. They also receive academic support and are perfectly prepared for their final exams.
But learning does not end when you start your career: we also focus on targeted further training for experienced employees. Internal development programmes, training courses and external seminars help to deepen specialist knowledge and build new skills.
Our goal is clear: those who work for us should be able to develop both professionally and personally.
Safety first – occupational safety measures
Safe workplaces are a matter of course for us. A comprehensive occupational safety concept applies at all production sites – from regular risk analyses to training courses and the provision of personal protective equipment. Our safety officers are trained to identify potential risks at an early stage and take targeted countermeasures.
In addition, we operate a company health management programme. Health checks, ergonomic workplace design and preventive measures are an integral part of our welfare programme. We systematically record absences and accidents at work – not only to comply with legal requirements, but also to learn from them.
Special attention is paid to physically demanding activities in production. Here, we ensure relief through rotating workstations, lifting aids and optimised processes. In addition, we regularly raise awareness among our employees about safety-related issues – because occupational safety is teamwork.
Our goal is clear: everyone should go home healthy. The continuous improvement of our safety standards is therefore an integral part of our sustainability management.
Inclusive corporate culture – promoting diversity and preventing discrimination
Diversity makes us stronger. That is why we at A.S. Création promote a corporate culture in which everyone is welcome – regardless of gender, age, origin, religion or other personal characteristics. Discrimination has no place in our company. This is not only part of our code of conduct, but also part of our everyday life.
The management, executives and employees are regularly made aware of this issue. In addition, designated contact persons are available to answer questions about equality, inclusion and discrimination. Complaints or comments can be submitted and processed confidentially via defined channels. Overall, we strive to create a working environment in which everyone feels safe, respected and treated fairly – every single day.
We use two key figures to measure diversity within the company. Firstly, we track the proportion of women in management positions on an annual basis. At the first level, this figure stands at 33.3%, and at the second level, it is 21.4%. In addition, we not only meet the legally stipulated employment quota for people with severe disabilities in Germany – we exceed it. At least 5% of our positions are filled by people with severe disabilities or equivalent status.
Input materials – Safe products for a safe home
Since wallpaper is used indoors, it must not only look attractive, but also be harmless to health. That is why A.S. Création attaches great importance to the selection and control of the raw materials used – especially chemicals. All legal requirements for interior products are met and checked by an internal quality management system.
In addition to checking the raw materials, the finished wallpapers are also tested according to recognised standards. All products bear the CE mark in accordance with EN 15102, meet the fire safety requirements of EN 13501-1 and comply with the highest indoor air emission class ‘A+’.
In addition, A.S. Création voluntarily commits to the stricter criteria of the Gütegemeinschaft Tapete e.V. (Wallpaper Quality Association) in accordance with RAL-GZ 479. This is supported by a certified quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
The d’eco seal of approval – the solution for healthy living in a sustainable home:
A.S. Création is constantly developing its wallpapers and looking for ways to further optimise our already very safe products. That is why, in 2023, we introduced our own ‘d'eco’ seal of quality, which identifies wallpapers that are particularly low in harmful substances. To carry the label, wallpapers must be PVC-free, use water-based printing inks and contain no organic solvents. In addition, they meet all standard quality criteria such as the RAL quality standard, FSC-certified substrates and indoor air emission class A+. With this clearly recognisable label, we are making a direct contribution to indoor health protection and giving end consumers the assurance that they are buying a safe product.
