We are pleased to present the sustainability report of A.S. Création Tapeten AG for the 2025 fiscal year. Last year, we invested considerable effort in preparing our first comprehensive CSRD sustainability report in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS)—a significant milestone for our company. However, with the EU Omnibus Package and the adjustment of the size class threshold it contains, the regulatory landscape has fundamentally changed: As a company with fewer than 1,000 employees, we are no longer subject to CSRD reporting requirements effective immediately.

This raised the question of which standard we would use for reporting in the future. One answer would have been to forego voluntary reporting entirely. But that does not align with our self-image. We have deliberately chosen the Voluntary SME Standard (VSME)—and we did so out of conviction: Through standardized data points and reporting requirements, the VSME ensures excellent comparability, yet its structure is more adaptable to our company’s specific circumstances and enables us to provide our stakeholders with a more authentic and practical view of our actual business activities. We are also convinced that the VSME will establish itself as the reporting standard for small and medium-sized enterprises in the long term—and we see ourselves as well-positioned with this step.

🌍 Environment
In the Environment section, we report on our carbon footprint and a methodological recalculation of the 2020 baseline—conducted in collaboration with ClimatePartner. The impact of this recalculation on our reduction targets through 2030 is transparently presented in the report. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce our participation as a founding member of the IHK Alliance for Biodiversity in the Cologne region—a sign that, for us, environmental responsibility extends beyond the global level to be local and tangible.

Our employees are the heart of A.S. Création. In the social section, we provide insight into our activities related to occupational safety, training and continuing education, equal opportunity, human rights, and supply chain due diligence.

🏢 Governance
Good corporate governance is a core conviction at A.S. Création. We report on our corporate governance structures and Code of Conduct. Of particular note: Since August 2024, we have been a member of the UN Global Compact and are thus part of the world’s largest initiative for responsible corporate governance.
