Privacy protection principles
We conceive of privacy protection as a sign of customer-oriented quality. As such, we ensure to the best of our ability the greatest possible protection of personal data. A.S. CRÉATION TAPETEN AG, Südstraße 47, D-51645 Gummersbach collects and uses your personal data exclusively in accordance with the provisions of General Data Protection Regulation. Below we inform you of the nature, extent and purposes of the gathering and use of personal data
- on our company homepage (hereinafter called “homepage”) [section 2-7], as well as
- in the course of our business relation (or business initiation) via e-mail, post or phone [section 8].
1. Your rights and contact option
As a concerned party, you have the following rights:
- pursuant to article 15 GDPR the right to demand information about your personal data processed by us to the scope specified therein;
- pursuant to article 16 GDPR the right to demand the immediate correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us;
- pursuant to article 17 GDPR the right to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us, unless further processing is required, to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information; to fulfil a legal obligation; for reasons of public interest or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims;
- pursuant to article 18 GDPR the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as you dispute the accuracy of the data; the processing is unlawful, but you reject its deletion; we no longer need the data, but you need it for asserting, exercising or defending legal claims or you filed an objection against the processing pursuant to article 21 GDPR;
- pursuant to article 20 GDPR the right to receive your personal data, which you provided us, in a structured, standard and machine-readable format or to request the transfer to another responsible party;
- pursuant to article 77 GDPR the right to complain to a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority at your usual place of residence or work or at our company headquarters.

Right of objection
If we process personal data as explained above in order to preserve our interests, which are largely legitimate in the context of weighing our interests, you can object to this processing with immediate future effect. If the data is processed for the purposes of direct marketing, you can exercise this right at any time as described above. If the processing is occurring for other purposes, you only have a right of objection if reasons exist that arise from your particular situation.
After exercising your right of objection, we will no longer process your personal data for these purposes, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.
This does not apply if the processing occurs for direct marketing purposes. Then we will not process your personal data for this purpose.
2. Access data and hosting
You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Every time a website is accessed, the web server only automatically saves a so-called server log file that, for example, contains the name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of access, amount of data transmitted and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access.
This access data will only be analysed for the purposes of ensuring a fault-free operation of the site and improving our services. Pursuant to article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR [General Data Protection Regulation], this serves to preserve our interests in correctly representing our offer, which is largely legitimate in the context of weighing our interests. Any access data will be deleted no later than seven days after the end of your site visit.
3. Data collection and use
We collect personal data when you contact us (e.g. via a contact form or email). Mandatory fields are marked as such, since in these cases we need the data to process your enquiry. You cannot send the contact form without providing this information. Which data is to be collected is evident from the respective entry forms. Pursuant to article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR, we use the data provided by you to process your enquiries. After completion of the contract, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after any tax and commercial retention periods have elapsed, unless you have expressly consented to a further use of your data or we are entitled to continue to use the data, which is legally permitted and for which we inform you in this declaration.
4.1 We use a double-opt-in procedure to register for our newsletter. This means that after you have registered for our newsletter, we will send you an e-mail to the specified e-mail address in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. Only your e-mail address is required for sending the newsletter. If you do not confirm your subscription within 7 days, your data will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month.
4.2 To prove the time and scope of the subscription to the newsletter (as well as any unsubscription), we store the following data by setting a cookie:
- Timestamp of the registration or un-subscription (date and time)
- IP address
- Newsletter selection
4.3 Legal basis (newsletter): processing of data based on consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO.

4.4 The newsletter is sent on our behalf by the service provider CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG (address: CRASH Building, Schajückenweg 2, D-26180 Rastede), to whom we pass on your e-mail address for this purpose. This service provider is based within the European Union.
4.5 You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time. You can declare the revocation (i) by clicking on the link provided in every newsletter email, or (ii) by sending a message to email@example.com
If you do not accept cookies, this may impair the functionality of our website.
6. Google Maps
In the section "locations", we offer the option of viewing the location of a company or displaying the route calculation to a location using the Google Maps service. Google Maps is a service of Google LLC (USA) (www.google.com).

We do not receive any data via Google Maps.
7. Social Media Links
Our website uses so-called social links from social networks Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest.
When you click on the social link, you will be directed to our social media account with the relevant social network. The respective network collects personal data about you; for more information please refer to our data privacy notice for social media as well as the data privacy notice of the respective social network.
If you do not want social networks to immediately assign the data collected through our website to your profile in the respective service, you must log out of the respective service before visiting our website.
8.1 Virtual tour
We receive neither personal data nor statistical data from Matterport.
8.2 YouTube video
a. If you would like to watch a video, you will be directed to our YouTube website via the link.
b. YouTube is operated by Google Inc. (address: 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). The responsible party and contact person in the EU is Google Ireland Limited (address: Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
c. YouTube collects various information about your website visit. The personal data is anonymised and may be transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Your anonymised personal data may be used by Google for any of its own purposes, such as profiling, and may be linked to other data. If you are logged in to your Google account, your data will be directly assigned to your Google account. If you do not wish this association, you must log out of Google. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or designing its website in line with requirements. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. d. We are a contractual partner of Google and only receive anonymised, statistical data on the videos via its services. We do not receive any other data, in particular we cannot identify users from this information.
e. Legal basis: your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR.
If you wish to contact us via the contact form (for general contact, to order interim reports), the following personal data is collected as mandatory data within the scope of our business relationship or the initiation of a business relationship: First and last name, postcode and city, country, email address. You can voluntarily provide us with further data such as company, street address and telephone number.
If you contact us via individual email addresses, we will process the personal data necessary to carry out your request.
All personal data will only be stored for the period for which they are required, unless storage is necessary for other legal reasons; however, for a maximum of ten (10) years after termination of the business relationship or completion of the enquiry.
